Scoring and control
To gain my final point through Conquer, must I control every Battlefield or have Conquered them all?
The final Conquer checks scoring, not control of every Battlefield
RiftPal explanation · Answer first
Actually
You must have Scored every BattlefieldA Battlefield is a shared location that players compete to control during the game.View in Glossary that turn, not control them all at once. HoldHold means Scoring a Battlefield you already control during the Beginning Phase of your turn.View in Glossary counts too. Without that scoring history, the final ConquerConquer means taking control of a Battlefield you did not already control and Scoring it for the turn.View in Glossary draws a card instead of giving you a point.
RiftPal explanation
Why it matters
This check applies to Conquer when you are one point below the Victory ScoreThe point threshold for winning in a mode. A player or team must also be ahead of every opponent when Cleanup checks for a winner. Standard Duel, Match and free-for-all games use 8; Magma Chamber uses 11.View in Glossary or higher. Only this turn’s scoring counts, even if you later lose control or a Conquer draws instead of giving a point. Hold and other non-Conquer points do not face this restriction.
Reaching 8 in a standard game still requires leading every opponent at CleanupAn automatic rules check that handles winning, lethal damage and board conditions before play continues. It is not an action you choose or normally announce, and an ordinary check does not heal units.View in Glossary . In 2v2, exclude Battlefields occupied by your ally at that turn’s scoring step from the final-Conquer check.
In practice
At the table
In a two-Battlefield game, you Hold the first, then move away and Conquer the second. You have Scored both this turn, so the final-Conquer check is satisfied even though you no longer control the first.
