When Is Legion Active?
Legion text is active after you have finalized another card this turn, even if that card was countered.
RiftPal explanation · Answer first
The short answer
LegionA dependent keyword whose following text is active after you finalized a different card during this turn. That card still counts if later countered.View in Glossary 's text becomes active when you have played a different card this turn. For this check, the other card counts once you complete its play process and it becomes finalized. A countered card still qualifies.
RiftPal explanation
How it works
The card with Legion cannot satisfy its own condition. One other finalized card activates every Legion ability on cards you control for that turn; you do not need one card per ability. A Legion ability may grant a cost reduction, a play permission or another kind of text, so read what follows the keyword. A trigger that says 'when you play' follows a different rule: a countered card does not complete the play event needed for that trigger.
